Christiane was born in East Berlin, where she
was a self-taught documentary photographer.
Moving to London in the early 90's, she achieved
a first class honours degree in photography at
the University of Westminster
Since leaving college Christiane won the London
Photographic Award in 1998 and the third prize
in the BJP/ Portrait Award.
She has
exhibited at Association Gallery (1998), "Well
Hung" Gallery in London (1999) and Dostoyevsky
Museum St. Petersburg (1999).
Since 1999 Christiane is
participating regularly in Art fairs in London (Paperleaf
Art fair, London Contemporary Photography Fair,
Affordable Art fair, Battersea Art fair) and has
an annual solo show in Soho.
Her recent work (Basingstoke Canal, Amsterdam)
shows how strongly she is drawn to and
influenced by the constantly changing patterns
and visual effects of water and its
surroundings.

Due to Climate Change,
a terrible future for the earth is likely in the
lifetime of our children and grandchildren - it
doesn't have to happen if enough is done to stop
