About The Artist

Born in Glasgow, Scotland in1968, John trained as a professional artist, graduating in 1991 with a BA (Hons) in Drawing and Painting from Edinburgh College of Art.

Scottish solo art and gallery exhibitions were John’s main focus and experience from1994 to 2000. After leaving Art College, John taught drawing, painting and mosaic classes to both adults and children as a community artist. During his early years in Scotland, John designed and created site-specific art work for a number of clients who commissioned work for hospitals, community centres, health centres, penthouse suites, showrooms, homes and offices.

Throughout the last six years, John’s experience extended to the commercial picture framing and print industry and he has liaised with interior designers, hoteliers and many clients from the commercial and corporate industries, offering bespoke framing services, selling original paintings, prints and limited editions.

John offers his skills and experience in the commercial and retail sector on a consultancy basis, to interior designers, retail shops and galleries, hoteliers, restaurants and private homes.

Giclee and Digital Prints, Art Cards and free e-Cards alongside services such as Art Rental, Art & Interior Design Services (The Visionary Art Design Team) and a Corporate Service. John’s images are diverse – from landscapes and seascapes of his native Scotland, to Latin American dancers, contemporary flower paintings, abstracts and Eastern images. Many are painted in oils, and more recently pastels, egg tempera and acrylic. The complete works span several years, evolving and adapting to current trends and influences.

About The Artist

Romy Rey is a Swiss Artist located in Richmond, Surrey (West London), who questions one’s perception of reality. Some of her paintings are a re-interpretation of landscapes she has visited during her extensive travels, others render familiar elements in variable scales and combinations or portray striking images of ancient or tribal objects in imaginary settings.

Born in Zurich, Switzerland, Romy studied in Paris and Geneva and settled in England where she worked as a translator and a partner in bookshops before becoming a painter.

Her work is broken down into four categories –  Ancient and Tribal, Geometrics, Dreamscapes and Landscapes. Romy’s work has been displayed in galleries throughout the UK. Private Colllections are also held in the UK, Switzerland, France, Germany, Mexico and Brazil.

About The Artist

I had an ambition when I was very young to become an artist / designer and I continued to combine and develop both my art / design and fashion / sewing skills in various ways over the years.

In 1995, I achieved a Certificate for completing an Access Course at Basingstoke College of Technology and I progressed to be awarded a Batchelor of Arts Degree in the subject of Textiles for Fashion, via the University of Portsmouth (course attended at Basingstoke College of Technology) and in 2003 I achieved a Certificate as the Winner of the Higher Education Learner Award via Basingstoke Adult Learner Awards (Basingstoke College of Technology).

I have, in the past, exhibited my artwork at various venues including: The Art Show at Alexandra Palace, Farnham Maltings Gallery, Surrey, the West End Centre, Aldershot, Hampshire and Farnborough Festival of Arts, Hampshire.

Please contact me directly if you wish to discuss further.
