Walk the Downs and one cannot ignore the imposing Grandstand that rises alongside the final furlong of the racecourse which is home to the world-famous Epsom Derby.
Whilst race days may fill the Downs with thundering hooves and enthusiastic racegoers, the rest of the year sees the gently undulating grassland dotted with people taking a walk, exercising their dog, or just enjoying the view. On a clear day, one may get a glimpse of London
landmarks to the north and if one is lucky, as the sun sets in the west, one may catch a stunning sunset illuminating the sky and reflecting on the face of the Grandstand.

My work has covered a wide range of subjects and styles, including landscape, marine, architectural, portraiture and fantasy, using watercolour, acrylic, gouache, or mixed media. Variety has been an essential part of my work, with equal opportunities for a disciplined study or a creative self-expression.
I now work mainly on art commissions using watercolour or acrylic and would be happy to discuss your specific requirements.
I have exhibited at galleries in London (including the Mall Galleries and Westminster Gallery) and the provinces (including Royal West of England Academy) and received a number of art awards. I have also provided artwork for use in tourism literature, charitable and commercial Christmas cards and building society calendars.
My works have been purchased by art enthusiasts in the Netherlands, USA, France, Spain, Australia and throughout the United Kingdom.
Denny Wood is an area of woodland and scrub in the New Forest, Hampshire, located to the north-east of Brockenhurst and south-east of Lyndhurst.
This scene was captured just outside Brockenhurst, not far from the Balmer Lawn Hotel, during a group-organised wagon ride through the Standing Hat Inclosure.
The sun glistened on the bracken whilst a slight haze hung over the canopy of trees.

Boats moored within the upper navigation of Lymington harbour and close to the Ferry crossings to the Isle of Wight. The scene captures a warm summer evening at high tide, with boat reflections shimmering in the water.

Being human and everything that comes with this, is portrayed in the art and due to the detail, can take many hundreds of hours to complete, typically over many months or a year or more.
This is also something that inspires me to draw, as good sight, stable hands, good mobility and independence are to be celebrated today, as they cannot be guaranteed in the future.
My art cannot just be glanced at, rather to be viewed and studied with patience, then more and more will be revealed."

Mital's artwork 'A Space Odyssey – in Colour' has been selected to be displayed as part of the Elmbridge Moving Arts Exhibition and will be in the Robert Phillips Gallery at the River House Barn in Walton-on-Thames Surrey. This will be from 5th October till 30th October 2022.
One of Mital's paintings was chosen for prestigious display at some of London’s busiest commuter stations, namely Victoria, Waterloo and London Bridge.
This artwork is an exploration into space and away from the earthly realm. Reasons to escape will vary for everyone, but as humans sometimes we all need a path to escape, even for a short bit if not permanently. It was based on the birdseye view philosophy that the further away you can take yourself then the less important worries and concerns in your life become. Like cosmic insignificance therapy, as noted in Oliver Burkman’s book, ‘4000 Weeks’, this artwork helps the viewer to escape into space but instead of a dark void, they are met with colour.
