Whispers of the Shadow

A tiger steps from the shadows; its gaze fierce and penetrating; every muscle and stripe alive with tension and movement. The darkness around it heightens its presence, making the animal’s colours and form almost luminous against the night.
Through textured brushwork and dynamic strokes, the painting captures both the raw power and silent grace of this magnificent predator, evoking a moment of quiet intensity and primal beauty.

About The Artist

Whilst my early study of art and design lead me to a career in Architecture, it was joining the Tadworth Art Group that re-invoked my artistic abilities and passion for painting.

My artwork, predominantly using oil-on-canvas, takes me beyond everyday routine and into a world of boundless creativity, to further develop my artistic eye. I am strongly influenced by nature and wildlife and often focus on vast land and seascapes, whilst my architectural precision and contemporary imagination truly distinguish and define my work.

I am drawn to the restless beauty of seascapes, the quiet poetry of nature, and the spirit of animals. My work seeks to capture movement and colour in their most evocative form. Layers of texture, shifting light, and brushstrokes that carry the pulse of the natural world.

I playfully exaggerate my subjects with the use of vibrant colours and accumulation of layers, creating textured surfaces and a poly-dimensional reality that adds both depth and light to my work instantly setting my work apart.

I have been part of Tadworth Art Group for the past 7 years and have exhibited at Epsom Surrey Art Fair for the past 3 years.

I’m an active member of the Dorking Group of Artists, Pirbright Art Club, and the Surrey Hills Plein-Air Painters. Regularly painting on location through the year. My involvement within these groups reflect both my commitment to artistic growth and enthusiasm for sharing creativity within a community of like minded artists.

In addition to my personal practice, I undertake a wide range of commission work, offering both bespoke paintings that reflect my clients’ individual stories and settings.

My work has been exhibited widely, and I participate in numerous local art exhibitions throughout the year, where my pieces are well recieved for their colour, depth and emotional resonance.

I hope my art continues to evolve through my plein-air explorations, collaborative efforts and dedication to capturing the charm of the everyday English landscape.
