About The Artist

On graduating from Portsmouth University, I laid down my paint brushes and pursued a number of other interests. I have rediscovered art through becoming a mother and since I started painting again, a couple of years ago, I have not been able to stop!

I love to create images that are beautiful and interesting, and achieve this best through the use of a number of mediums and techniques. My work features torn edges and sometimes needlework as well, so could be called ‘constructed’ art. My pictures vary in size from 10cm to 150cm or more, depending on what my client wants. The finished product is flat and suits all standard framing styles.

Audsart Beautiful Work - Surrey Artist Audrey Androuliakos
I have successfully sold on the Internet to Australia, Canada, USA and Europe and have received so much positive feedback, repeat business and support from all my clients. This has been a wonderful experience for me and one I hope to cherish for a long time to come.

I do not sell copies or prints of my work. Each piece is an original and I welcome commissions.

Thank you for taking an interest in my work. I look forward to hearing from you in the future.

About The Artist

Born in London in 1968, I am a largely self-taught artist based in Lightwater and take much of my inspiration from animals and their antics.

Working in pastel pencils, particularly the Carbothello brand, I strive to capture the personality and mood of my subject, harnessing the pencils' capacity for high detail and their silky texture in creating a realistic fur effect and expressive liquid eyes which have become the trademark of my work.

I work under the name of Dapplegrey Art to highlight my love of animals, with a particular bias towards horses.

Much of my work comes from commissions in the form of pet portraits; nothing can compare to the exhilaration of seeing someone's delight at having their best friend come to life in a piece of original art.

More recently, I have begun undertaking children's' portraits as well. Many of my stock pictures are taken from imagination and with the addition of a touch of quirky humour here, a pinch of fantasy there and a large helping of mischief thrown in, the aim is to build a highly stylised and unusual gallery.

I am a member of Frimley and Camberley Society of Arts and I have prints on sale in various outlets in Camberley. I am an occasional demonstrator, a regular on the Isle of Wight art and craft fayre scene and have sent commissions as far afield as Australia and India.
