About The Artist – Katwish is Katie Griffiths!
Bespoke portraits on commission. Artworks on canvas of children, pets and flamboyant individuals! Working with oil paints, textile sculpture and acrylic paint, I bring my experience of the stage and prop making to my portraits, adding flair and imagination. I am also working in collaboration with stencil artist @sicandotoo. Together, we create powerful works bursting with energy and colour. Have a look at the image, “Down in the Garden”.
Works on canvas can be made to any size. We make murals and can integrate them with mosaics. Please take a look at my gallery on the katwish website.
Background: I was co-founder of the puppet company, “Wishworks” touring shows and running workshops for children. I also worked in community art, constructing giant costumes and sculpture.
Portrait Process
On both types of commissions, we can work from your good quality photos, or for an extra fee, we come and take photographs. We check in with customers at regular intervals about our progress.
We have a waiting list, but work steadily.
