I am a Surrey born artist living in Frimley on the Surrey/North Hampshire boarders. Painting mainly from imagination but drawing inspiration from coastal and landscape scenes around England and Scotland.
I prefer to use acrylic as a medium, for its wonderfully vivid colours and variety of textures, using various grounds including canvas, board and paper.
All paintings are available to purchase. Although these are original pieces, similar works can be commissioned in a similar style.

I personally believe that paintings as media share the heart of the painter who wishes to record and leave the moment we encounter through our daily lives.
I hope that I never stop expressing the beauty of nature and humans who struggle to discover the reality of their lives, different from those of yesterday.
It might seem delicate or subtle, but valuable enough to keep through our whole lives. For pursuit of happiness, I think we should even listen to the whispering wind and I believe that every answer is waiting for us, there in nature.
From Jane’s South Africa Gallery
Growing up in the Western Cape of South Africa, inspired by the beauty of the varied landscape, I sketched and painted from an early age. My paintings here depict a few favourite haunts: some further afield: the Hex River Valley vineyards, the Drakensberg mountains, Hermanus, (the Overberg) and Namaqualand.

I grew up in Cape Town, South Africa, graduating from Rhodes University with a BA degree in Fine Art (Painting) in 1990, having been fortunate enough to study under George Coutouvidis. In 1995, we moved to England, and after many years in formal employment, I resumed painting full-time.
I paint a wide range of subjects, enjoying landscapes the most. Drawing inspiration from nature, I am especially interested in the influence of light. Capturing mood and atmosphere through establishing a sense of place; use of tone, colour, texture and line, elements intrinsic to painting, are what I strive to achieve in my work. Primarily using oils on canvas, I enjoy working in other mediums as well.
The English Romantic painters Constable and Turner, as well as the French Impressionists, Monet and Pissarro, are key influences in my work.
I welcome commissions and would be delighted to discuss the details of your requirements.
All of the paintings on my website are original works. Some of my work is reproduced in the form of giclée prints which can be obtained by contacting me by email.

John Hart Mills (1936-2019) grew up in London. On completing school, he entered the book trade, studying art part-time at London’s City and Guilds Art School, where his tutors included the sculptor Reg Butler. His interest in music led him to attend the London College of Music, where one of his composition teachers was William Lloyd Webber.
His job as an international sales representative never prevented him from following his twin interests of painting and composing. His interest in oil painting manifested itself early on, especially in portraiture. His marriage to a Norwegian saw him making frequent visits to Norway, where he painted a series of watercolours that featured the natural beauty of the hills, lakes and coastal inlets to be found around Sandefjord in south Norway.
John's watercolour paintings include landscapes closer to home, as well portraits and figures.
Examples of his lyrical piano music can be found on You Tube.

I am a full-time Ophthalmologist working at East Surrey Hospital in Surrey, I enjoy painting as a hobby in my free time.
I do not have any formal art related training, but I picked up this hobby from one of my friends who used to do pastel drawing which I started along with him. I paint with enthusiasm and passion and try to improve my work by attending regular art group demonstrations.
I started with a few oil colour paintings along with my undergraduate studies, but had to stop during my post-graduation studies and residencies. I revived my hobby with a variety of watercolours followed by oils and pastels.
I had some of my work exhibited in the “Secret artists” exhibition in Dorking and one of my paintings was selected in SAA magazine members’ gallery.
My aim of putting my work on this website is to show my work to a wider community and possibly have some opinion for further development. I will be delighted for any communication regarding my work.
Please contact me regarding sale of art prints.
*I will donate 50% of the proceeds which I may get from sale of prints to Cancer Research Charity (after excluding reasonable and related expenses).
