She mainly uses her own photos for reference and enjoys capturing scenes with distinct lighting qualities. She describes her style as realism with an expressive use of vibrant colours.
She paints landscapes, animals and portraits and is open for commission requests. Working mostly in oils, she does use acrylics and watercolour when the subject requires it.
Mandy is a member of Croydon Art Society and SAOS and has exhibited her work at Denbies, Bourne Hall and her local art gallery. She does not sell copies or prints of her work.
This Watercolour portrait was painted from photographs supplied by the client, who commissioned the artwork as a surprise gift for her partner.

My work has covered a wide range of subjects and styles, including landscape, marine, architectural, portraiture and fantasy, using watercolour, acrylic, gouache, or mixed media. Variety has been an essential part of my work, with equal opportunities for a disciplined study or a creative self-expression.
I now work mainly on art commissions using watercolour or acrylic and would be happy to discuss your specific requirements.
I have exhibited at galleries in London (including the Mall Galleries and Westminster Gallery) and the provinces (including Royal West of England Academy) and received a number of art awards. I have also provided artwork for use in tourism literature, charitable and commercial Christmas cards and building society calendars.
My works have been purchased by art enthusiasts in the Netherlands, USA, France, Spain, Australia and throughout the United Kingdom.

Exhibiting at the Royal Academy Summer exhibition at the age of 18 was a pivotal moment of my life, as it set my mind on focusing on art as a career .
I have since sold art at the Battersea Arts Fair, held several solo exhibitions in Belgravia and taken part in various group shows in London.
I also taught art for several years .
I have, over time, painted portraits which have been commisioned and have recently started painting dog portraits.
Although I see myself as a painter /printmaker , my specialism is drypoint engraving . . a technique that suits my subtle and now distinctive style perfectly .
A drypoint archived with the Scarborough Museums Trust

Peter was born and grew up in Budapest and although he was interested in drawing from an early age (inspired by his grandad), he pursued a career in sports. He went on to become a physical education teacher following in his parents’ footsteps.
Alongside his teaching career, Peter trained as a boxer and came second in the National Hungarian Boxing Championship. Although he never completely moved away from art, he only become passionate about painting in recent years.
He became interested in a variety of subjects including city and landscapes as well as portraiture. He enjoyed experimenting with oil and became fascinated by the reflection of light from wet surfaces expressed by minimal, often bald mark making. His portraiture is characterised by his subjects emerging from dark backgrounds.
Motivated by his travels, he became interested in watercolour, initially inspired purely by lack of working space. Peter became charmed by British landscapes and coastal towns. Through his paintings, he attempts to convey the atmosphere of a scene with simple mark making.
