About The Artist

David was born in 1963 in Deepcut, Surrey and currently lives in St. Johns, Woking.

Drawing and painting from an early age, he has always had an interest in the outdoors, and after a period living on the Isle of Skye on Scotland’s west coast, a particular fascination with light and atmosphere has developed.

Recently he has also focused on the woodland / heathland scenery of the South East. The challenge of trying to capture fleeting moments in oils is Davids aim.

As well as painting, he also produces highly detailed pencil portraits and is always happy to discuss commissions of anything from favourite cars, motorcycles, pets or family.

David is a member of Pirbright Art Club and Woking Society of Arts.

About The Artist

I briefly studied Fine Art at Bournemouth, Dorset back in 1989, then went on to study a BA (Hons) in Conservation and Restoration of paper-based objects and the History of Printmaking, at Camberwell College, London.

I continued to paint for years as a hobby, however, in 2000 I had my son, art was forgotten and I was taken over by the world of Tellytubbies! My youngest son started school last year so I decided it was time to start painting again.

I’m now drawing and painting on a daily basis. Currently my work is pastel paintings and oil on canvas, but I plan to explore many other art mediums in the future.

I am happy to accept commissions of people, pets or wildlife, in pastel or oil paint.

About The Artist

I graduated from Sir JJ Institute of Applied Art, Mumbai, India. I paint a wide range of subjects including contemporary landscapes, abstract art and Indian mythological / traditional paintings. My favourite medium is acrylic on canvas and my paintings feature cheerful colours and unique textural quality.

I love to paint and am inspired by the whole concept of creativity; the idea that a blank canvas can be turned into something that someone will cherish is very exciting to me.

I also enjoy the fact that a painting can mean different things to different people. I have been very happy painting with acrylics for most of my life.

Although beautiful English countryside landscapes, hills and small villages fascinate me, I would say nature has influenced my style. I think that subconsciously, whatever I have seen has had an effect on me, teaching me about form, colour, technique and texture and I like to think I have absorbed these lessons into the work I do.
