About The Artist
John studied at ‘Bradford Regional College of Art’ where after a pre diploma year, he went on to study and then work in the field of exhibition and interior design.
After a successful career as a designer, he has returned to one of his first loves - painting. The detailed architectural presentations that are one of the necessities of a professional designer are reflected in his work as an artist.
John works mostly in watercolour, with subjects ranging from landscapes of his native Yorkshire and his adopted county Surrey, to London scenes and steam railways.
His work can be regularly seen in the ‘Room for Art’ gallery in Chobham and other Surrey and London exhibitions.
